Bralettes

One of the most prevalent apparel items seen this summer, whether it’s meant to be under the radar or not, is the bralette.  Usually peeking out under over-sized tees or flowing blouses, these frilly undergarments are making their mark in more than just the lingerie department.

Bangle Bracelets

Bangle bracelets are one of the simplest and effective ways of adding a little style to your overall look. I am a firm believer in the idea of taking the time to build up a plentiful accessory treasure chest. A good accessory can add miles to an outfit with very little effort. Adding a few bangles to your jewelry collection is an easy place to start.

Bangle bracelets can be traced back in history to 2600 BC in the Mohenjo-Daro settlements. A statue of a young girl was discovered in an archeological excavation. The statue, entitled “Dancing Girl” is a nude figure who is wearing an armful of bangle bracelets. Based on this evidence, bangle bracelets are noted as the first accessory of the human culture. 

The bangle can be seen across Indian, Mayan, and Roman cultures throughout history and has come in almost every material imaginable, including: stone, glass, terracotta, shells, plastic, resin, and various metals.

With such a long standing history that the bangle has had, it is safe to say that this accessory isn’t going anywhere. Whether it’s day or night, or if you are wearing one or several; your arms are guaranteed to reach their glam potential when they are adorned with these little circular wonders.

Converse

Classic and iconic, Converse are an asset to any wardrobe collection. From solids, to patterned; from fashion to limited editions, the variety is endless. Since 1908 the people at Converse have been styling the feet of the masses. Uniquely and unlike any other footwear company that comes to mind, Converse has successfully broken down the barriers of cliques and classifications. They can be seen gracing the feet of musicians, athletes, fashionistas, and the like. Young and old, and everywhere in between own (or have owned) a pair over their lifetime.

Whether low-tops or high-tops, worn in or brand-spankin’ new, Converse are unmistakably trendsetting, yet quintessential at the same time.
