Too Faced Papa Don’t Peach Blush

Back from the Too Faced archives comes the Papa Don’t Peach Blush. I have been wanting to try this for a while now, but finally the time has come and based on the last few weeks of using it, I am very happy that Too Faced decided to bring this new and improved version back into existence.

If you haven’t already heard the hype or you have yet to try this sweet peach out for yourself, let me give you the highlights. First, it smells AMAZING! Seriously, the peachy aroma goodness is definitely one of its greatest selling points. Second, the adorable packaging. It is cute and functional. The compact is a magnetized tin, and kind of reminds me of vintage makeup compacts. Third, and probably the most important is the sheer quality of the product. The blush itself is a beautiful warm and natural shade that has a good pigment, yet is buildable upon application to create either a very natural, radiant glow or a more dramatic, sun-kissed bronzed effect.

Other reviews comment on its versatility as a highlighter as well, but because my skin is so fair that is not an option I can speak of first-hand. Review after review also echo the positive qualities I mentioned above which clearly demonstrate the need to try this product out if you are in the market for a new blush.

Ratings:

For $30 at Sephora, Ulta, or the Too Faced website, you will get a fairly large pan of product (0.32 oz.), in which a little goes a long way. I’ve been using it daily for about two weeks now and it looks as though I just opened it. The imprinted image is still perfect!

Invisibobble Hair Rings

So at first look, I must admit these did not catch my eye….but what changed? Here is a little back story. I am a natural brunette who has very light bleached blonde hair. It is very fragile and requires a lot of extra special care and attention to keep it looking healthy. Most days (if I am being honest) my hair is up in some sort of a messy bun, and like most girls, I would use the regular, circular hair ties (like these). While reading through various blogs and Instagram accounts that I follow, I came across a post about the damage that traditional hair ties can cause, and when I say damage, I mean breakage. The worst word to be spoken in front of any bleached blonde.

So I began to do a little research. I like to use Ulta as a starting point for research because they usually have tons of reviews for the items they carry. In my research I found that these strange looking hair ties were quite remarkable and were rated 4.5/5.0 (based on 106 reviews). Many people stated that they did not hurt their head like other types of hair ties, that they don’t pull or break the hair, that they do not leave an indent pattern on the hair when removed and the list goes on and on.

First and foremost I wanted something that could easily be camouflaged in my hair. Second, I needed a hair tie that was sturdy and would hold all day without the need to readjust from slipping. Based on the reviews I read, I thought I’d try them out.

So glad that I did! These are a great product and the story behind the company is rather cute as well. One most women can relate to.

While a price point of $7.95 for a quantity of 3 might seem a tad high; once you try these for yourself you will quickly realize that they are totally worth it. I’ve even thrown away all my old hair bands. The Invisibobble hair ties come in a variety of colors, but I love the clear version because it is easily concealed when I put my hair up.

In the weeks I have used them (and again, I wear my hair up most days), I have noticed less tangling, more comfort throughout the day, and on a huge positive note, my messy buns have never looked better…BONUS! 🙂

These modern miracles are available at Ulta or on the Invisibobble website.

If you have also tried these, please leave me your thoughts in the comments below.

Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash

This is the second product I’ve tried from Soap & Glory, and again I am totally impressed. The first product I tried was their Hand Food, and to put it mildly, it is the greatest hand lotion in all the land. You can read my complete thoughts on the review I posted previously here.

So with the sheer amazingness of the first product of theirs I tried, I figured I’d press my luck and try another (with fingers crossed).

I was in the market for a new face wash, and while wandering aimlessly through Ulta, I came across the Soap & Glory display. Now first, you must know that I am a total sucker for great packaging. Soap & Glory has that indeed, big cheers to whoever is in charge of that.

Based on how impressed I was by the Hand Food hand lotion, I did not hesitate to grab the Vitamin C Facial Wash off the shelf. I read the labels, glanced over the beautiful aqua blue gel with little pink dots within and proceeded to place it in to my bag of purchases.

When I got home I placed it my shower so it would be ready to go. Before diving right in, I remembered how concentrated their hand lotion was – a little goes a long way. So I squeezed about a pea sized amount in my hand and went to work.  Wow! Wow! Wow! Foamy, refreshing, and cleansing! Loooooooved it!

I have used it ever since. Now I will be the first to admit, I do not have acne prone skin. It is fairly normal most days, and can get a little dry here and there. For me this stuff is one of my favorite face washes to date. In fact, I am still working on my first bottle. This stuff lasts forever! So for a $12, 11.8 ounce bottle, your money will go far, and $12 is extremely inexpensive for the quality product that it is.

For those of you who need more convincing, it has a rating of 4.5/5 on Ulta’s website, based on 249 reviews.

Also here are the details from the description on the Ulta website if you are still contemplating 😉

  • Face Soap And Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Vitamin C Facial Wash smoothes and purifies for super clean, fresh and bright skin.

With complexion-friendly, non-drying, easy-rinse ingredients including natural Superfruit Yuzu and Ultra-Soft Scrub-Beads, this high-tech foaming facial wash is a multi-tasking miracle.

• Cleansing, foaming and smoothing.

• Gently, polishes and purifies.

• Energizes and brightens.

• Strategically formulated for oily/combination skin.

In a nutshell, the Vitamin C Facial Wash from Soap & Glory is refreshing, effective, aromatically pleasing, and inexpensive. Try it for yourself! At $12, what do you have to lose?! My bet is that you’ll be just as impressed as me. 🙂

Of course you can find this product online at the Soap & Glory website, Ulta, and Target.

Rimmel Provocalips – 16 Hour Lip Colour

Those of you who also follow me on Instagram @AllThingsAdoredOfficial know that I have been using the Rimmel London Provocalips quite religiously as of late.

These are definitely one of my current favorites.

The application is smooth, the colors are fantastic, and as advertised it lasts foreverrrrr!

Provocalips comes in 14 gorgeous shades and is available at Target, Walmart, and Ulta.

The Ulta website describes the product as follows:

Rimmel’s Provocalips 16 Hour Kiss Proof Lip Colour is an exclusive 2 step product that locks in vibrant color for 16 hours. It’s so incredibly lightweight and flexible that it adapts to the movement of your lips. These seductively rich shades bring out that femme fatale in you! Wow color, incredible shine and zero trace!

I can totally agree with the lightweight and flexiblity claims, and the color lasts and lasts through eating, drinking, kissing, etc. Nachos, it even lasted through eating nachos!!

At no point while wearing this product did my lips feel dried out (like some long lasting lip colors can do), or get clumpy. The color remained smooth and my lips remained moisturized.

The cost is approximately $6-7 depending on where you shop, and is a super great price for the quality of product you are getting.

Thanks for reading! 🙂 If you have a long-wearing lip color you think is also amazing, let me know in the comments below!

    NuMe Curling Wands

The NuMe Curling Wand is one of my favorite hair tools to date. NuMe produces high quality hair tools for a reasonable price (especially when they go on sale or are running a promotion – which is pretty often if you are willing to wait for it). They are available on the NuMe site, Ulta, and Amazon.

I bought mine during one of their many promotions and got a straightener as well. Both are super for all your styling needs, however for this particular review, I’ll be focusing on the curling wands. NuMe also carries additional styling tools including straighteners, hair dryers, accessories, and styling sets to suit your hair goals.

But on to the curling wands… Since using the NuMe curling wand I have noticed that my curls last a lot longer, like on to the second day durability. Of course, a little touch up is needed, but overall the hold is better than any other curling iron or wand I’ve used in the past.

There are a wide range of wands to fit your curling needs, including the Classic Wand (pictured above), a Reverse Curl Classic Wand, and a Pearl Classic Wand. There are also a variety of colors to choose from such as black, pink, blue, and a few other specialty colors. They come available for both European and US power outlets; and the size ranges include 19mm, 25mm, and 32mm (pictured above). Prices run from around $139 to $179, but again they go on sale all the time. I believe I purchased mine for about $60/$70 during a promotion.

Please let me know if you have any questions that I didn’t cover above and I’ll be happy to share my NuMe experiences with you. Thanks for reading! 🙂

For answers to all your other NuMe questions visit their website here.

    Soap & Glory Hand Food

Hands down (no pun intended) this is the BEST hand cream you will ever try! I am now on my second bottle and I love it still as much as the first time I used it.

The formula is rich, without being greasy. It is super hydrating, and a little goes a long way. One bottle will last you a while. It absorbs quickly and does not leave your hands feeling filmy in any way.

There has a slight floral scent, but it is by no means overpowering. It just smells very clean.

Ingredients include macadamia oil, shea butter, and marshmallow. Sounds good enough to eat, right?!

The 4.2 oz. bottle runs about $8, while the 1.69 oz. travel size costs $4. I recommend getting both, as you can have one for home and one to throw in your purse.

    Available at these locations:

    Soap and Glory and Ulta

Since we are in the month of December, this would make a perfect stocking stuffer for everyone on your holiday list!

    DIY False Eyelash Cleaning

The bane of my existence… cleaning my eyelashes! But I have discovered a new method that makes this whole process less tedious.

    What you’ll need:

    • Your used false lashes
    • Rubbing alcohol (I use 70%)
    • A small dish or bowl
    • Original eyelash tray that your lashes came in

    The process:

    • First place your lashes into a small bowl/dish.
    • Next, pour rubbing alcohol into the bowl/dish until your lashes are completely submerged.
    • Leave them soaking for a few moments.
    • Next, gently remove mascara and glue with your fingers.
    • Once clean, place the eyelashes back in their original tray to maintain their shape.
    • That’s it!

    Happy cleaning!! 🙂

      Halloween Make-up Ideas

Halloween is just around the corner and it is crunch time to finalize your costume options. Here are a few possibilities that you may choose to replicate for your Halloween haunting festivities.

Probably one of the most popular Halloween costume options this year will undoubtedly be Harley Quinn from DC Comics due to the movie Suicide Squad and the lovely Margot Robbie who was cast in the role.

Dia de los Muertos / Sugar Skull Make-up will probably be another popular choice again this year.

Clowns are on the rise this year, but rather than the scary, creepy type clown, I opted for the cuter harlequin version.

Pictured above are my adaptations of the characters costume make-up, and listed below is a list of the products I used and links to where you can purchase them, for each of these looks.

      Harley Quinn:

      Dia de los Muertos:

      • Morphe Gel Liner – Shade Slate
      • Melt Cosmetics – Shade Dark Matter
      • Maybelline Great Lash – Blackest Black
      • Ardell Eyelash Glue Adhesive
      • Rhinestones – Michaels Craft Store
      • Headband – Forever 21

      Harlequin Clown:
