Ardell Magnetic Lashes

I’ve been an Ardell lash user since my dance competition days in middle school. Since then I think I’ve used every shape and style of their lashes that I could get my hands on. They make a quality product that I return to the store to purchase time and time again.

So of course I was SUPER excited when I heard that Ardell was coming out with new magnetic strip lashes. The glamour without the glue? I’m in! 🙂

I pretty much stalked my local Sally’s Beauty Supply and Ulta for a couple weeks. Finally I got my hand on a few pairs.

Upon opening the package, one of the first things I noticed was how lightweight they were, which is a great thing because you’ve now got double the lashes.

Okay so I didn’t quite get how to put them on initially. The video clips make it look super easy. I can tell you it does take some practice, but once you’ve got it down, I think you will like these as much as I do. One piece of advise I can give is to check out Ardell’s IG @ardellbeauty. There you can see videos with some troubleshooting tips such as cutting the lashes into smaller magnetic pieces to make application easier.

So now that you are motivated to give these a try, here’s the where and the how much.

Available at the following stores:

  • Ulta
  • Sally’s Beauty
  • Target
  • CVS
  • Rite-Aid
  • Walmart
  • Walgreens

Available in three styles:

  • Double Wispies
  • Accent Lashes
  • Double 110

Cost: $12-$14 depending on where you purchase.

Here you can see a before and after. The top is without the magnetic lashes, and bottom is with the magnetic double wispies.

Thanks for reading!

Lime Crime Diamond Crushers

Glittery. Versatile. Amazing. These iredescent lip toppers instantly double your lip color collection as these little beauties can be worn alone or on top of your favorite lip product. It is a perfect addition when wanting to add a little drama to your usual look.

The Diamond Crushers formula is non-sticky and glides easily over the lips. The glitter stays where it’s supposed to and doesn’t get all over your face.

The Lime Crime website describes them as, a weightless water-based formula that goes on matte and dries to a smudge-proof finish. Can be worn alone or over liquid matte lipstick without making it run, and the lightweight water-based formula is filled with light-reflective iridescent shimmers that dance and glisten with you as you move.

Ten beautiful, sparkling shades including:

  • Choke (baby pink/baby blue)
  • Lit (rose gold)
  • Cleopatra (blush/gold)
  • Acid Fairy (lavender/mint)
  • Black Unicorn (black rainbow)
  • Cheap Thrill (sunset/rose)
  • Dope (cotton candy pink/champagne)
  • Strip (bright pink)
  • Fluke (mauve/blue)

DIY Firework Lashes

Materials:

  • Artificial lashes of your choice (I used Dodo Lashes, style D115).
  • Cosmetic grade glitter.
  • Glitter adhesive (I used Sprinkles Glue from Beauty Bakerie).

Process:

  • While leaving your lashes in their tray, brush a third (or however much you are wanting for your first glitter) with glitter adhesive.
  • Repeat the process with the rest of the lash.
  • After the tops have dried fully, gently remove them from their tray, and repeat the process with the bottom side of the lashes.
  • Once both sides have dried, you are ready to apply.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

I recently added a few shades of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream to my ever-growing makeup collection and am happy to say that they will remain there.

I had already been using several of the Butter Glosses by NYX, and loved them. They are super versatile. They can be worn by themselves, with lipliner, or as a gloss over your lipstick to add some sheen and moisture. The application is smooth and the color ranges from semi-sheer to medium coverage. There is absolutely no sticky feeling with these, which is hit or miss with many lip glosses.

The Soft Matte Lip Cream’s are of equal caliber! The main differences between the two of these is that the matte lip cream has a greater color payoff and obviously they set to a matte finish, rather than a glossy one. The application is soft and the durability is strong. These no undoubtedly would be a welcomed addition to any lip connoisseurs collection.

NYX Baked Blushes!

Amazing!! I recently picked up a few shades of the NYX Baked Blushes. I’ve been playing and experimenting with them over the last week. They remind me a lot of the MAC Mineralize Blushes but for a less expensive price tag; although the MAC does come in a larger compact. Both are fantastic; however if you are looking to try several different shades, like I did, go with the NYX. Both have a lightweight, sheer coverage and have a very nice shimmer to them. The NYX Baked Blushes are also made to be used with either a wet or dry application, which give you dramatically different color. The dry application goes on as a light pigment and the wet application is more dramatic and pigmented. So you are really get getting two blushes in one….Bargain!!
